5C diamonds are ideal as applications for the watch industry as diamonds can be cut in exact sizes (EZ) and with the Just-In-Time (JIT) process. The benefits of EZ and JIT for the watch industry are the following:

• There is very little weight loss in the cutting of the diamonds as opposed to the traditional method of cutting diamonds where weight loss is much higher.
• With the JIT means that the watch manufacturer does not have to carry a large stock of diamonds which he would need to sort into ‘matching’ sizes.
• With the EZ method the manufacturers stock can be greatly reduced since all the diamonds are the exact size.
• The quality of the product is therefore increased in order of magnitude as a result of the diamonds brilliance, and the other benefits as defined by the 5C diamond.
